Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery in which traffickers use force, fraud, or coercion to control victims for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex acts or labor services against his/her will. Sex trafficking has been found in a wide variety of venues within the sex industry, including residential brothels, escort services, fake massage businesses, strip clubs, and street prostitution.
The average age for sex trafficking starts at 12-14 years old young little girls who are innocent still virgins. The victims are at a higher risk of getting STDs and any type of disease.
Human trafficking is a global crisis linked with increasing globalization and often intertwined with illegal immigration, human smuggling and transnational crime. It is a form of modern day slavery that trades and exploits children, women and men each year, violating their basic rights to life, liberty and security.While you cannot equate prostitution and sex trafficking, there is definitely a link, particularly found in those who have been arrested.
